Instant Pot 13 Bean Turmeric Chili

This is the best Instant Pot Chili recipe, and it’s quick, easy, healthy and delicious! This hearty beef chili recipe is a crowd pleaser and will feed the whole family for days.

I came up with this recipe when I was craving soup, but didn’t have any and need it fast. You won’t believe me when I share how easy it is.

If you still haven’t gotten yourself an Instant Pot. Please get one now. The one I use is below—it is so great because it can cook this chili in 30 minutes and being that we live in southern california and have no AC, it doesn’t heat up your house.

Ingredients:

  • 1lb of lean ground beef (I recommend doubling it to make it extra hearty!)

  • 2 cups Bob’s Redmill 13 bean mix (soaked overnight)

  • 1 (32 oz) carton of organic bone broth

  • 1 jar (2lbs) of your favorite marinara sauce

  • 3 TBS garlic salt

  • 1 TBS cumin

  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper

  • 3 TBS turmeric

  • 1 TBS pepper

Directions :

  1. brown the ground beef on saute mode in the instant pot

  2. add garlic salt, turmeric and pepper

  3. stir in the beans that were soaked over night

  4. add the bone broth and pasta sauce

  5. Cook on soup mode (30 mins) and enjoy!

That is it.. truly it is the easiest soup I have made. So much flavor and even the kiddos love it.

Turmeric contains curcumin which is the main active ingredient. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.

Bone broth “liquid gold” contains collagen and gelatin and aids in gut health, boosts immune system and also has anti-inflammatory properties!

I love to make this with cornbread and add it on top!

Instead of sour cream try greek yogurt or bitchin sauce for an added kick!

  • Optional to add in some more veggies to bulk it up and get the kids to enjoy some more veggies!

  • I added a handful of chopped spinach and 1 cup chopped mushrooms while I cooked the meat!

  • then I added 3 small chopped sweet potatoes after the meat was browned !

ENJOY!

My mom created a family tradition of making chili and cornbread on halloween and this recipe is kid friendly and can be enjoyed for days after!!
